In Bengal, the BJP has managed to surpass the majority mark in polls against TMC leader Mamata Banerjee.
Mamata has panicked with poll results so far, directing its party members, “don’t leave counting centres, the numbers are fake”.
While Congress is being left behind BJP in the Bengal assembly elections.
Mamata’s Claims
In a video message released amid the counting day, Monday mid-afternoon, the TMC supremo was seen requesting voters not to leave the centre, reflecting confidence that the trends would reverse, giving an edge to TMC votes against BJP in further counting.

What number says?
According to latest data, BJP has secured 181 seats, leaving Mamata Banerjee’s TMC behind with 90 seats. Seen as a massive headwind against the longest-serving party, TMC.
Bharatiya Janata Party managed to cross the halfway mark of majority on Monday, with magic numbers leaving behind TMC in its own ruled states.
This would mark a historic win for BJP – a state they never ruled and dethroned the longest serving party Trinamool Congress, in its own state.
