OnePlus Nord 6 India Launch Tipped: Price, Specs and Key Features Revealed

There have been some leaks and benchmark results for the OnePlus Nord 6, which will likely be launching very shortly in India as well as worldwide. The successor to the OnePlus Nord 5 (launched in mid-2025) may arrive soon, but there is no set date for the launch.

Leaked/early information suggests that the phone will offer significant improvements in performance and battery capacity and be a more durable product than previous versions – this could potentially make the OnePlus Nord 6 one of the best-performing phones to date in the Nord range of smartphones.

OnePlus Nord 6 Spotted on Benchmark Listing

OnePlus Nord 6 is set to make its way to Geekbench, with its model number listed as CPH2795. These benchmarks sometimes provide some small insight into unannounced or upcoming devices and can be found at Geekbench about two or three weeks before a device releases.

Reports have indicated that this new device may just be an international version of a previously launched Chinese device called the OnePlus Turbo 6. If accurate, the OnePlus Nord 6 will add flagship specifications to the midrange market in India.

According to Geekbench, this smartphone could be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a top-level chipset that will provide excellent performance in gaming, multitasking, and AI.

The specs listed on Geekbench also indicate that this device will feature a possible maximum amount of RAM of 12GB and will run Android 16 with the OxygenOS 16 user interface.

Display and Design Upgrades

Yogesh Brar has released some information about the potential features of the OnePlus Nord 6. It’s possible this phone will have a 6.78″ LTPS OLED display with a maximum resolution of 1.5K and will support an insane 165 Hz refresh rate, making it one of the fastest screens in the mid-range space. If you enjoy playing games or watching videos, you will love how smooth scrolling is with a higher refresh rate.

With regard to how the OnePlus Nord 6 will be constructed and how durable it will be, it looks as if it might also get some big-time upgrades as well. The well-known source has mentioned that it could have both an IP68 and IP69 rating for water and dust protection for high-pressure water jets, which would give this device something to brag about over the IP65 rating of last year’s model.

Performance and Storage

The forthcoming smartphone is likely to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, which is made on a 4nm node. Compared to previous-generation Nord devices, this chipset may provide improved overall capability and power savings compared to previous-generation Nord models.

Additional specifications include:

LPDDR5X RAM

UFS 4.1 storage

Configurable in 12GB or 16GB configurations; up to 512GB of storage.

At these levels of performance, the new smartphone will approach the same level of responsiveness and speed seen in premium flagship phones.

Camera Specifications

Leaked information regarding the camera options of the OnePlus Nord 6 indicates that it will be equipped with a dual-camera rear camera system. The main rear camera will feature a 50 MP Sony LYTIA-600 image sensor along with optical image stabilisation (OIS), which is designed to significantly enhance the sharpness of images taken in low-light environments.

The secondary rear camera will either use a 2 MP sensor or an 8 MP sensor based on what the final product configuration will look like. The front camera is expected to have 16 MP and be used for video conversations and taking photos for social media.

Massive Battery Upgrade

The potential for an upgrade from a smaller battery in the OnePlus Nord 6 to a larger 9,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery is certainly one of the more vocalised updates that people are looking forward to with this phone.

If it turns out to be true, it would be a massive increase over the next largest battery for the Nord 5, which was 6,800 mAh.

Other charging options that could be included with this phone are as follows:

  • 80 watts wired quick charge
  • 27-watt wireless charge
  • Reverse charge

Due to the size of the battery, if the user patterns are compatible with the use of this device, it is conceivable that they could experience 2 days of use on a single charge.

Expected Price in India

OnePlus hasn’t disclosed the official price, but due to rising component prices and chip shortages, expect a modest increase on the new model. The price of the OnePlus Nord 5 when launched in India was as follows: ₹31,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and ₹37,999 for the highest configuration. Based on expected upgrades and leaks, the OnePlus Nord 6 price is likely to be between ₹34,000 and ₹40,000 in India.

What to Expect from the Launch

The OnePlus Nord 6 could offer top-of-the-line capability and a large-capacity battery, representing an important advance in mid-range smartphones if pre-release reports hold up. In addition to superior hardware specifications, the screen has a very high refresh rate, making it a viable alternative in competition with upcoming devices from Xiaomi, Realme, and Oppo. All specifications remain speculative pending OnePlus’s official announcement, and as such, will likely change leading up to the product’s release date.
